It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved father James Eugene Merrill on Oct 22, 2025 at the age of 82.
Dad was born in Vancouver, British Columbia to parents Ellen Hedberg and Eugene Merrill on June 19th, 1943. Dad celebrated life through his love for the mountains, his love for horses and farming and, above all, the love of his family.
Dad is survived by his partner and loving wife Anita, his younger brother Ken (Kim), sons Kory (Angie) and Lonnie (Stevie), daughters Cherrie (Tony) and Michelle, grandchildren Breckon, Chandler, Tyler, Carly, Kenton, Jack, Anthony, Ashley, Amanda, Jake, Lexi and three great grandchildren with an additional three on the way.
We invite all family and friends to join us in the celebration of this great man to be held at the Blueberry Community Hall on Nov 5th, 2025 at 2 0’clock 53109 RR14, Alberta T7Z 2E4.
