Jasper Artists Guild puts No Limits on BUZZFest 2026

The opening gala of another buzz-worthy exhibition from the Jasper Artists Guild attracted dozens of art lovers, creatives and immaculately-dressed Jasperites to the Jasper Art Gallery on January 23.

BUZZFest is JAG’s annual art extravaganza. This year’s theme is “No Limits.” The exhibition will be on display in the Jasper Art Gallery until February 28.

Now in its eighth year, BuzzFest is a multi-media community exhibit celebrating the extraordinary work of Jasper’s visual artists.

JAG members and non-members alike come together at this popular, open-themed group exhibition to share their work and gain exposure.

The exhibition’s key objective, according to Gregory Deagle, who curated BuzzFest along with Sandra Coombe, is to stimulate membership growth for JAG and help the organization to realize its mission of promoting cultural enjoyment and art education opportunities to residents and visitors.

“BuzzFest fosters artistic exposure and community connection,” Deagle has said. “It also doubles as a community-wide arts and culinary festival, offering cultural enrichment and art education for residents and visitors alike.”

Deagle was delighted to report on the public’s reception of the exhibition. He remarked on the capacity crowd who came to experience, enjoy, and support local art.

“Jasper loves art,” Deagle said.

Mayor Richard Ireland once again put his poetic foot first. In his opening remarks he suggested BuzzFest “is more than an artshow, it is a rebirth. A testament to the power of community’s deep worth.”

Local songstress Marie Flipo-Bergeron brought her soulful, bluesy sound to the BUZZfest Gala. Performing alongside percussionist Christine Nadon, Marie’s acoustic guitar transported the patrons via original songs and renditions of cool classics.

Deagle extended the Jasper Artists Guild’s appreciation to the artists and volunteers whose time, dedication, and passion made this exhibition possible.

“Your contributions are the foundation of this vibrant creative community,” he said.

“If you haven’t yet had the chance to visit, we warmly invite you to come by and experience No Limits for yourself.”
