Linwood Homes helping Jasperites reach for the top

Two of Linwood Homes’ rebuild projects are standing tall.

Following last year’s devastating fires, the team at Linwood Homes has been working closely with Parks Canada, local authorities, and residents to ensure the community can return home as quickly and safely as possible.

Now, one home is already roofed, while another is well into framing.

“These projects are showing real momentum,” said John Summers, Project Adviser at Linwood Homes. “These are visible signs of progress for both homeowners and the wider community. This is all incredibly positive and motivating for the team.”

As a youth, Linwood Homes’ Construction Manager, Chad Becker, spent a lot of time in Jasper. He called the national park town a “real treasure.”

“Community members are a big part of what makes this place so beautiful. I feel very grateful to be able to help make an impact and give back to the community after such a disaster last year,” Becker said.

Step Inside: Jasper Construction Seminar This October

To share these milestones with residents, Linwood Homes is inviting the community to a Construction Seminar and Site Walkthrough on Saturday, October 18. This will be the first time members of the public are invited behind the fences to see active construction sites (the event will involve going into town from JPL), with all safety protocols carefully in place.

“This is a first for our team,” Becker said. “But we’re doing this so Jasperites can see up close how our homes are built.”

At the event, attendees can join Becker for a guided walkthrough of a new build. They’ll also hear from Summers and Linwood’s design team, Nicky Southgate and Mya Zimmerman.

The team will be able to answer Jasperties’ questions about insurance, permitting, or the Linwood process. Linwood Homes will supply refreshments courtesy of Otto’s Cache while offering an opportunity for community members to connect.

“Jasper is such a connected community, and we’re excited to share this stage of the projects,” said Summers. “We want you to feel welcome to come by, take a look, and ask us anything about building.”

On Oct 18, Linwood Homes is inviting Jasperites to take a tour of a rebuild-in-progress. RSVP to join. // Supplied
