Rotarians are making available a second round of fire relief funding for local Jasper-area organizations.
The Rotary District 5370 Charitable Foundation (RDCF) has completed its first round of wildfire relief funding, approving $56,216 in grants, according to a press release.
Now, Doug Campbell, grant coordinator of St. Albert-based RDCF 5370, said another $67,000 is available to qualified charities and qualified donees, with priority given to projects that address mental health, recreation, education and seniors’ support.
“All applications must be directly wildfire-related, sustainable and clearly defined,” Campbell clarified.
Funding in the initial round was awarded to the Crisis Team Jasper Society, the Municipality of Jasper, the Jasper United Church/Anglican Church, the Jasper Park Cycling Association and the Girl Guides of Canada. Each group had projects which supported recovery efforts following the July 2024 wildfire, according to the Rotary.

Campbell advised applicants to contact him directly to discuss project eligibility.
