A female resident of Winnipeg has been arrested and faces charges related to property crime in Jasper.
On June 12, 2026, Jasper RCMP were advised of a series of break-ins in homes and vehicles, as well as charges made on stolen debit and credit cards in the Jasper area the day before.
“Video surveillance obtained, as well as further investigational avenues, revealed a possible suspect, who was later arrested,” according to a Jasper RCMP media release. “Some of the stolen property was recovered at the time.”
Additional property was located as the investigation continued, RCMP said, including an electric scooter. If Jasper residents have been victims of property crime, RCMP said to contact police.
Call 780-852-4421 to get in touch with the detachment with a description of the goods in question.
“It’s a reminder for residents to secure their valuables—lock your car and home. This is a time of year when these crimes of opportunity can take place,” said Sgt. Rick Bidaisee, Detachment Commander of the Jasper RCMP.
As a result of the investigation, Taylor Marlow Minion (24), a female resident of Winnipeg, MB, was charged with two counts of use of a credit card obtained by crime; use of a debit card obtained by crime; mischief; possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000; possession of an ID related to another person; and obstruction of police.
Minion was brought before a justice of the peace and is to be released on conditions. She is to appear before the Alberta Court of Justice in Jasper on July 9, 2026.
“Jasper RCMP would like to thank members of the community who assisted the investigation” Bidaisee said. “We continue to work with members of our community to promote safety for all”.
